Who knows which way the wind will blow?

This blog was initially intended as a relaxed place for me to put tidbits and stories about sailing, women sailors, and the watery world, as well as my thoughts about breast cancer, survival and loss.

Recently, I have taken a detour and have become interested in reducing plastic waste. I’m conducting and sharing a year-long trial to discover ways I can keep plastic out of my trashcan, or even for that matter, out of my recycling bin. So, the blog has evolved into a hodgepodge reflecting many of my personal interests, it is also intended to be a place visitors are encouraged to put in their two bits’ worth in response to any post. If you have read, Sailing the Pink Sea, you will know that I am often up for a good verbal brawl, so feel free to disagree. I want to generate conversation in a place that will be respectful to alternative views.
